Flexibility is a key benefit, EFCO equipment can be used to process glass for staircases, windows, balustrades, partitioning and lift shaft panels, then switched immediately to processing smaller pieces such as shelves, furniture glass and inspection panels.

All glass tempering systems incorporate a simple to use yet sophisticated control system.  A clear and graphical Windows based operator station incorporates: various data logging options; continuous temperature recording; manual override; inbuilt testing, diagnostics and on-line maintenance.  The system enables the user to produce highly accurate glass consistently and to international standards:  BS6206A, BS6262, BS857, MSMA 25, DIN 1249, DIN EN 1863, AU 178, ECE R43 and ANSI Z266.1, prEN12600, EN12150/1&2, EN1288/2.

d) Low thermal mass insulation materials provide maximum thermal efficiency for low energy costs.
e) No additional lifting equipment required as the furnace and quench systems have built-in lift mechanisms for ease of access during maintenance.
f) Separate quench and cooling sections provide flexible processing capability.
g) External standby generating system not required – a back up battery powered drive is designed into each system to remove glass in the event of a power failure, including a “pulse-roller” feature which rotates this roller drive intermittently.
h) Simple line shaft drive system requires minimal maintenance with soft start/stop oscillation.
i) Flexible side loading solutions.
j) No special foundations or excavations – the furnace sits directly onto the floor.
k) Minimal site commissioning – the plant is fully assembled, piped, wired and tested prior to delivery.
L) Energy saving automatic furnace entry and exit doors, close fitting roller seals and low thermal mass insulation reduce heat loss and cold air infiltration for low energy costs.
m) Optical metered SO2/nitrogen injection to eliminate glass haze, scuff and iridescence.
n) Precision ground, fused silica rollers in this furnace section.
o) Optical compressed air convection heat balancing system for processing low emissivity hard and soft coated glass.
